Don’t know ’bout you, but sometimes I take the weight of the world on my shoulders. Seems I think I have to fix everyone–have to keep everyone from making mistakes that I have made–want to be a giant band-aid and Neosporin–not only protect you, but heal you quickly.
Funny, I’ve learned just recently that I’ve been taking on far more than I even have the ability to handle. What a surprise! The only one I can change is me. Somehow, I can’t help but hope that I might be a positive, bright spot in your day, as I venture on my journey, learning lessons, getting bumped and bruised, but picking myself back up and continuing on my way, a bit more wise for the wear, but never letting go of the fact that my only real job in this life is to be the love that people see should they come within my reach.
So, today’s task is to be the love that everyone sees when they meet you–be kind, be compassionate, be caring. Think you’re tough enough to be gentle? And don’t be afraid of the hard knocks–boy, that’s gonna leave a mark. You arer the Best and good things are coming your way. And if a few tough ones come your way, as well, just remember, I’ve got some great band-aids–and a hug or two. Feel the love! Make me proud!!!
